Purpose-built for spaces where traditional smoke alarms are prone to false triggers—such as kitchens, garages, and boiler rooms—the hardware relies entirely on thermal detection rather than optical chamber analysis. The device features a dual-thermistor monitoring layout that constantly tracks ambient room conditions.

It triggers an immediate alarm if it registers a sharp, sudden temperature spike or when the ambient room heat crosses a fixed safety limit. Utilizing encrypted two-way radio frequencies, the Ajax 60828.173.WH1 maintains a supervised data pipeline back to a central hub while simultaneously supporting autonomous interconnected alerting across separate rooms. The mechanical design streamlines technical field labor by incorporating a mounting panel outfitted with pre-installed lever connectors, allowing for direct wiring and fast, toolless commissioning through professional smartphone applications.

Key Features

Dual thermistors detect rapid temperature rises and smokeless fires

110–240V AC mains power with an internal sealed backup battery

Interconnected detectors trigger site-wide alarms within 20 seconds

Integrated 85dB siren delivers a clear high-volume warning

Encrypted supervised Jeweller communication reaches up to 1,700m in open air

Specification

Ajax FireProtect 2 AC (Heat) (8EU) ASP white

Manufacturer part code: 60828.173.WH1
